Immaculate doesn't begin to describe this pro-touring 1956 Chevy Bel Air show car which just completed a high-level frame-off restoration. This is definitely one of the nicest 56 Chevrolets available in North Carolina and possibly the entire U.S. The car has had the same owner since 1968 and was purchased after the owner came home from a tour of duty in Vietnam. In the early years of ownership this car had a Corvette 327 with a four speed but then work, kids, and life in general took over. The car was stored away in garages until 2007 when the owner decided to go all out on the car of his youth. A painstaking restoration ensued and the result is the amazing machine you see here. At the heart of the beast sits a brand new GM Performance 502 CI with 502 horsepower that's backed by a Tremec TKO 600 5 speed manual. Out back sits a sturdy Ford 9 inch rear end that's housing 3.70 gears inside. This car's entire frame was painted body color and all unneeded holes were filled and seams removed for a smooth finish. A spring kit was installed so the body need not be tubbed to fit the massive 10 inch tires riding out back. A custom front cross member was fabricated so the exhaust could pass through and keep things tight up under the body. Inside you'll find a custom leather interior that looks amazing with a flow through center console, hidden speakers, custom AC vents, and very comfortable seating. Modern amenities such as power windows, power locks, and power seats were added to improve driving enjoyment. Custom Machine tilt steering, Ron Francis wiring, Classic Instruments gauges, and Vintage AC were all used in this build. All this and only 2,300 break-in miles have been put on this car to date. Being a rust-free southern car to start with this car was able to retain all its original body panels and floor pans during the restoration. The metal in this car is all-Amercian, the way it should be. The paint finish is amongst the best we've ever seen and is a beautiful BASF blue with white pearl. We have a lot more details and specs available on this car, so please inquire. Several DVD's are included that photographically document the car's restoration. If you've just got to have the best 56 Chevy out there this is your car. • Song does not go with this bad ass car. Why the heck for this car? Classic deserves a classic. CUMMON MAN !!!!

  • The best clasic of all time

  • Why they have to ruin a classic with those rims

  • Why is the shadow in the drivers side floorboard of a long brake peddel and it has two short peddels (clutch and brake)? It caught my eye and I was just wondering. Beautiful Car though,I love it.

  • The car, not the song...

  • So... I restore classic Mopars - I gotta ask... Is the Speedo needle moving around like a tach a chevy thing? It's cool to watch but I think you have the wiring a little crossed...

  • nice setup for a custom, especially the engine & interior, not too extreme but updated to look more today than a 50 yr old car, something you can enjoy cruising in on the road & hiway.. if i was a collector & money wasn't an issue I'd buy it although it's not a color I would want if I had a choice, but color aside I like everything else about this car..

  • ... and the car is such a reasonable price that you can't share that info on the video or the tag...

  • I wonder what these would look like with the roof painted the same color as the front of the car...

  • How could you choose this crap song for such a great car???
