  • Uhhhh don't know where you got your info from but not all hospitals pay overtime after 8 hours!

  • @crystalclear674 well it cost more to live in cali, everything cost more

  • wooohooo thumbs up if u live in California

  • @ultrapsyk0 might have to take a 2nd job after getting my BSN lol. Nurse by day.. McDonalds fry cook by night rofl

  • so that is 37k a year b4 taxes with overtime... I am starting college in a week and I am majoring in nursing. I want to be a travel nurse. Not sure if I will make enough money starting out as a nurse if cali has good pay compared to other states.

  • This is nut...nurses (RN) are way overpay. Take Alameda County, CA for example, half of the highest paid employees are RN, with most making over $200,000/ yr. This is a false debate...look at actually tax returns not some obscure statistic about average pay...ask them to show the number. RN, with all due respect to the shrinking number of nurses w/ a sense of decency, makes an obscene amount on the back of people who are at their most vulnerable points in life.

  • Are you wearing a nose ring ?? how could that be possible if youre a nurse ?

  • @starthi oh no its great !!!!

  • Starting average salary for a CA new grad is $0 per hour. New grads have been tossed away like garbage.

  • @starthi my mom was hospitilized twice last year and she was accompanied by a male nurse who was awesome! he made us feel comfotable with tons of "ghost" stories and pleasent words of encouragment. I personally think male nurses are awesome because they come with more patience and understanding, whereas a female nurse can be more 'attitudy!'
