@cal31BRIAN23 and austein- Presley recorded before both Berry and Little Richard. Elvis didnt rip off Chuck Berry oin any sense, they were two different artist with their own style and personality who were peers.

wow he wrote so many big hits?!
I'm 17 and I know a lot of his songs !
He is a legend :)

And the thing with him and Elvis.. I think that Chuck is the KinG:: elvis copied a lot of black artists... many other white artists back in the days did that... because the white folks had more rights.. they could sell more
A shame but the truth..

Chuck Berry= The Best! :)

@AllischaGermanyb5lov Sure Chuck Berry is a legend, and wrote many of the greatest RnR songs, but as far as Presley goes, Presley recorded a year before Chuck Berry ever recorded. Along with Bill Haley, Presely combined Country and Blues to create Rockabilly, which is the pre- cursor to Rock and Roll. Berry also "copied" many black artists, such as T Bone Walker and Louis Jordan, as well as country artists such as Bob Wills.,

True both are pioneers, with Berry being the most influential guitarist, as well as one of it's earliest artists that tapped into the teenage market with his lyrics about teenage life. All artists copied off each other, and the artists that came before them, both black and white. Its a natural progression of music.
