I strongly believe it was the serial killer Henry Lee Moore. He was not blood related but he was divorced from a relative. He had also threated this family before. He killed others with the same ritual and after the Villisca murders killed his mom in a simular way and was convicted for that murder.

i remeber catherine from espn's horse racing coverage which lasted only one year. i think she left because their were too many people working on it's horse racing coverage. where is catherine at now? coming into espn's coverage when she joined i didn't know she was that famous and well known journalist.

Kelley didn't do it, William (Blacky Mansfeild) and his acomplice Harry Whipple did. and they are still in the house. Harry, whishes he would have stopped Blacky from harming the children. People have talked to the family and the two murders who were hired by Frank F. Jones, because Joe Moore had money transaction papers against Frank. Sarah woke up when the murder's hit Joe with the axe, and she yelled out "lord no please no" and they were afraid she woke up the rest of the house.

It is said that the ghost of the murder can be found within the attic of the Villisca house. If this is true, the muder can tell us who he is.

What, could they not spell then? "Police Without Clews"?

No wonder they couldn't find the killer...they could barely spell words.
