We didn't. A Bush toadie by the name of Mike Connell rigged the election in Ohio in 2004, provideing Bush's margin of victory. (watch?v=3EUJ0_3ynmc ) Unfotunately for the Republicans, Connell was too busy being deposed for his role in rigging the 2004 election to hack this one for them, otherwise McCain would have won, and the Republicans would have stayed in power.
