The Negation - Short Film

A Gangster Short Film. 'Negation' means cancelling out. Due to all of my exams taking place recently I haven't had much time to produce any recent short films. However, I wanted to come back with a bang and here is a short film involving lots of special effects, a good narrative and lots of guns, I hope you like it.

Hey, i am thinking of getting Adobe After Effects for my birthday in 3 months, i was wondering if its hard to use, im 13 and im pretty good on the PC.. thanks

@movio9 Hey, sorry for the late reply! Adobe After Effects is a very complicated software but its fairly easy to get to grips with if you use websites such as videocopilot which I would advise as the best place for tutorials for free! Make sure you get the student discount too! Hope this helps - Sam

I can see your effects work is getting even better Sam! There were some really nice shots in there... 2:04 - 2:11 reminded me of Sin City a bit :D Only thing I would say is that the swearing felt out of place a bit, maybe try with adult actors? (sorry to your friends who acted in this :P) Working on anything more this summer? :)

Nice video. Much better in my opinion than your others which just look as if your going through each "Video-Copilot" tutorial one by one. Youtube is full of those same easy effects. But this video looks as if you actually added your own touch, nice camera angles, script etc, not just flaming hands, shooting, flying and using "Action movie essential stuff" all the time. Good job sir.

Very interesting!

Music choice was very good, but maybe you could work oon your SFX? Don't get me wrong, they are some good sounding gun shots but they sound very standard. I think if you'd improve on that your videos would be even more impressive! ;)
