she's teh sort of mediterranean woman who 3000 years ago would have led the yearly tribal frenzy to drink copious quantities of wine and then kill, tear apart, and eat each last year's king in preparation for the new one -- i.e., a Maenad -- not sexy, but dangerously hysterical (i.e., "womb-crazy") - I guess we are all prisoners of our hormones, one way or another
