Yes same feeling ... instructive ... and his understanding of the harmony is just so deep he can just go altering and extending when ever where ever he feels it. A level of mastery few trumpet players achieve even in a life time.

Shame the band behind him had so many intonation problems. Brecker sounded amazing, as always.

Randy Brecker gave these kids a great lesson in intonation and improvisation. Too bad the orchestra was out of tune for the most part and had a hard time playing the arrangement. I'm going to have Randy play his trumpet without his electronic effects when we play together again with with our fusion band with Larry Coryell - The Eleventh House.TenaciousRecords.c om

Intonation....please. brecker however, was quite nice. My only complaint would be that I wish he didn't break up to phrases like that. Its a slow and melodic section. That's personal opinion though

O.K. Maybe the arrangement wasn't that bad but it was not played very well. The intonation was very shakey. Randy Brecker deserves better than this.

Saw him yesterday in Frankfurt Jazzkeller with Gunnar Mossblad (tenor-sax), August Wilhelm Scheer (baritone-sax), Jim Ridl (piano) amazing, Tony Marino (bass) and Jimmy Cobb (drums) on a »Tribute To Thelonious Monk«.

It was like flying on drugs. Such an high level of creativity, precision and expressivity connects you inevitably to higher spheres of spirituality.

Thank you Randy, tank you guys, God bless you!
