@kylegraves666 you're*. And usually he isn't...but for whatever reason they seemed to find it necessary on this performance. Listen to other live performaces and you'll see his voice sounds very different. It doesn't even sound this smooth on their studio albums! Don't be naive though. Most bands use it on studio recordings and live DVD releases. It's much more subtle than when used in RnB/Dance records, but it's there, maybe just to smooth out a few little mistakes.

@Reminiscence71 Pretty simply really. Most bands who release DVDs of gigs these days will multitrack the performance and mix/master it in the studio just like they would an album. They might overdub a few mistakes, they might use autotune. I don't care either way, it still sounds awesome, just watch any videos that aren't from this gig and you'll see that the singing is VERY different, not bad, but definitely not as smooth and 'perfect' sounding. I think it sounds worse this way personally.
