A re-telling of the story of Snape's Redemption: This video reveals why he left Voldemort in the first place.

ACTUAL BOOK PLOT: Severus Snape was Lily Evans' (Potter)'s best friend in childhood. After a while of just being friends, Snape had developed genuine love for her. He lost Lily's friendship after she realized that he had gotten into the dark arts and became a Death Eater. Hearing Trelawny's prophecy about Harry Potter, Snape knew that Voldemort would kill Lily in order to kill her son. He begged Voldemort to spare her, but Voldemort refused. As a result, Snape secretly left Voldemort and vowed to assist Dumbledore in protecting the surviving son of his one true love, Lily Evans.

i thought they did give snape enough credit, sure he had that prince's tale chapter but as a huge fan of snape i wish he died somewhat more heroicly(sorry about my poor spelling:/)

Snape's my favorite character too. And I agree with you, I wish he died in a duel against Voldemort, that would've been heroic.

Rowling has a deep and very determind reason for everything she writes. can people stop wishing for things to end according to their unrealistic wishes. it's annoying.

how realistic would it have been if he had a big, exploading, dramatic duel with voldemort? he has no power against voldemort, except that Snape's mind is stronger in some ways.

with all his life in mind, he was not a figure who stood out for being heroic. he died when lily died, because he loved her with all his heart. isn't that "heroic" enough? maybe his body didn't die, but his soul did. so, he was already dead long before voldemort killed him.

They had better not screw Snapes death scene up like they did with Sirius in the movie. Its just personal opinion but I think it could of done alot better.

reading the book i was kinda disapointed, i really wanted snape to at least put up a good fight, leave an imprint or something.or kill good ole voldy...
