I'm sure everyone will want to vote for giving me lots of money for absolutely no reason!

Without the Jail system Vanarch's have no power to protect the land or influence anything.

Every Vanarch will be someone who broke in with force and raises the taxes to max while he still can.

How is this better than an active and just Vanarch who has the power to imprison greifers.

If you set appropriate limits it can't be abused.
