@purplebanana1000 hm i thought it did. Too bad- then i guess it doesn´t pick up the inter-religous troubles the book mentioned. Another reason why the- nonetheless well made- movie is too far off the book. There is a new remake out (a french one) that seems to have gotten nearer to the book. But i haven´t seen anything but the trailer yet

@pedowife4kids I have to disagree with that. "Real" wars start because the "powers that be" make a lot of $ off of war, & the common man always plays the "eejits" & goes off to fight them. ;-/
