This video shows a spider on my desk spinning a web round a mosquito and then carrying it off to enjoy its feast.

  • wth i never saw a spider doing it... i mean... that is a daddy long legs isn't it? so i dont think it hunts outside it's web o.o but okaaaay... i saw it so i must believe it +-+

  • Yep. I thought it always hid in wall corners. This one was probably quite hungry - it was grabbing dead insects off my table to feast on.

  • Daddy long legs are not spiders. Spiders are part of a group called Arachnids. There are small groups that branch off of the Main title Arachnid. Scorpions are in the Scorpiones group of Arachnids, Spiders are in the Araneae group of arachnids and Daddy long legs are part of the Opiliones group. This group can also be refers to as the Harvestman group.
