I also encouraged everyone to go to court, especially if they had a clean record, a judge had more ability to grant a reprimand, no fine no points but still a conviction. Would rarely give a warning because I worked in a dedicated enforcement unit, I advised them it's up to the judge to give them a break not me. Thanks for the comment DaylesPoppy Cheers!

@PsychedelicPigeon Which is likely why people don't do it.....I'm aware of the argument but as said earlier, if it was a perfect defense everyone would take the time to do the paperwork and no tickets would be issued because it would be moot

@Kbaker821 Yeah that is weird, you know what else is weird, how photo enforcement companies shorten amber times to increase the odds of violations. Or how police set up in unsigned or poorly signed zones or where speed changes are not properly signed. That's weird too.....or how mobile photo units have very low speed thresholds that ticket you at a speed a cop wouldn't ticket you for and then offer no points against your licence and a reasonable fine you will just pay......weird.....

@SuperSpencercat Yes you could do that and the high majority of drivers don't get tickets. However there are people that do, some even deserve them, some get caught in places where signage is poor and police take advantage of it. You may not want to beleive it but that happens more then you know. Anyhow, I'm not here to judge people one way or the other, I am here to assist them. I told everyone I stopped and cited IF they had a clean record go to court and take advantage of a drop in speed and points or even probation before judgement which means fine only no points. Majority of tickets I wrote were seat belt violations. As for traffic cameras, I disagree with them because it takes the human element out of the violation. Traffic enforcement is not just for writing citations, it is teaching process. Warnings work, not all violators deserve warnings or breaks.
