@dezunne Thats because they are doing silhouettes in 3D
they use a dark material so they can focus on the shape and geometry rather than the details

at 6:55 you have the model in edit mode and than you bake to the layer, and immediately you rotate the model again in edit mode and bake it again. Whenever I press the bake button I leave the edit mode and have to redraw the tool. Could you please describe how you are doing this?
