This is the cutest thing ever i love it. thanks for taking time to care for wild animals and for paying homage to the squirrel. many people consider them pests, but i think they are very amazing and graceful and fun. also they plant lots of trees when they gather nuts. i think ill try making one of these.

Your lucky to get squirrels. We got one a few years ago, never saw him since.. We also used to have Pheasants come to our bird feeder, too...

@Dynastar231: We have many squirrels that visit us. We live more or less in the city. Everyone around us has large, oversized yards with HUGE old trees that are perfect for the animals to live in. When I 1st started feeding the animals, I didn't REALLY plan on feeding the squirrels. Rather, the squirrels ate my bird seed even when I didn't want them to ! So, we changed up the game & started making obstacles for the squirrels. It HAS been a fun game for us all ! :-)

using the pipes for the obstacle course was really a collaboration between my husband & myself. between the 2 of us, we have (and continue to) created places for the squirrels & other wildlife to come visit us. during those visits, we are usually entertained AND we get neat photos & videos ! more to come in the future !

no, the squirrel in the 2nd part of the video did not get stuck. the squirrels often eat in the white pipes where they cannot be seen. SOME squirrels learned to use the white pipes as cover to hide from animals. i posted a video a few months back that shows 1 squirrel hiding from 2 cats who were fighting just outside the obstacle course where the squirrel was hiding.
