i know it's ages ago but i'm pretty sure anyone's made obsidian swords before. they can be used as knives and arrow heads but stones don't make good swords... too heavy/brittle. those are likely studded wooden swords. according to the book robinson crusoe, they've been seen to lob people's heads off as good as any european swords

Try to beat that on the hardest diff.

yea o'm trying it :) I'm trying the mid-diff first though (prince)... i think i got a game where i can beat that diff. I FINISHED a game alive in hardest diff with the 1 city challenge, but yea didn't WIN it yet. I'm really focusing on other games right now (as you will see in a video i release 2morrow :P ) ;) Have you beaten highest diff? the easiest way to beat an enemy with hopefully few losses to your forces is to use artillery to destroy the fortifications then to damage the units in the city. I think catapults can do a maximum of 60% damage to each unit. but it may be more or less than that. anyway once the units are damaged, capturing the city will be much easier.

well i have good protection because i made open borders to get to the khans with people they hate, so my cities produce at regular rates while he fights the indians if he wants to get me, plus i have had units with military 3 march heal 2 and city attack die attacking

hmmm do you have siege support? catapults? like 0% city defense bonus and collateral damage before you attack with city-capture units?

i think i did try that once i got ambushed by an axe man who was away from the city at the border of the indian nation
