Being shown for the first time somewhere other than my living room is HEBRO. Rarely has one film been the catalyst, the climax, and the denouement of an entire genre of filmmaking. HEBRO put the Jewslpoitation genre on the map and left us asking for more, but unfortunately more never came.
This short film tells the story of Herman Brothelwicz (known as HEBRO on the streets), a kosher meat inspector who dreams of a life on the force. His extraordinary olfactory organ gives HEBRO an edge on criminal activity taking place on the street and in the deli. Can HEBRO better the lives of everyone with a dream and a bologna?
