We have a lifevest, and put it on only if he's swimming with my grandson and his friends. They really wear him out, and I don't want to take any chances. However, 9 times out of 10, he swims without it. He is very strong and it's great exercise for him. We would NEVER be so negligent as to harm him.

I didnt mean to be harsh to you. I am sure you love him and treat him well. I just got a little worked up watching the video.

I think you're going about it the right way. That's great that you are planning to get another. We sort of inherited Molson. He was a Christmas present for my brother-in-law and my brother-in-law passed away unexpectantly that February so my sister-in-law asked us if we would take him. He was only 6 months old at the time and is now a year and a half. We love him so much and he is definitely a part of our family.

We're not forcing him, just promoting playing games in the water, he's taking too it quite well.
I'm very happy with our pup, we're planning a second already. This is by far one of the best dogs we have ever owned! He's such a goof!

Thank you for your positive comment. Most have commented that I was cruel and that bulldogs can not swim. They're right about English Bulldogs, but not about Olde English Bulldogges. We didn't have to teach him how to swim he just knows what to do. He should have been born a duck or fish. Good Luck to you, but don't force your dog because he might begin to be afraid of the water. Don't you just love this breed????

Awesome! I have been trying to teach my Olde English Bulldogge to swim. Everyone says it is mission impossible! Well this sure proves them wrong!

He's an Olde English Bulldogge. He has much longer legs than an English Bulldog. There is a difference.
