Rape

Touching on a touchy subject. Iremythpurr (NuclearNight) seems to have rape tourettes, which does a serious disservice to survivors who don't take kindly to their experiences being equated with consensual sex, or good people being branded "rapists" simply because they don't subscribe to the same fanatical, political, dogmatic ideology.

Representative Christopher Smith seems to think that evil abortion is only okay for some forms of rape. Apparently, other forms of rape aren't so bad.

Representative Kathleen Passidomo is probably a genuinely good person. Unfortunately, she's a public figure reinforcing a dangerous and highly offensive misconception about sexual assault victims and their choice of dress. Clothing is no excuse or deterrent.

@Hjernespreng You're right; maybe this youtube pseudo-intellectual is an ACTUAL intellectual, attending conferences, publishing papers, etc. But I'm making an 'inference to the best explanation' when I say that she's probably a loser talking into a camera, pretending her views are incisive or at all worthy of consideration. Don't mistake explanation for excuse or empathy. I consider rape to be a disgusting and completely inexcusable crime. There are no excuses nor any mitigating circumstances. More information about anything is always better.

If this does happen it is disgusting. I am just saying I have never encountered it. I have encountered rape victims before, some very close to me. It is horrifying how common a thing rape seems to be. I accept that maybe in some countries or communities such a vile perspective as shaming a victim might be the case but I have no experience of that. I have never read a news story or seen a news cast either that portrayed things that way.

Sexual imperative meaning a strong urge for sex. Oh, I grasp it alright. I may not have experienced it as a man, but I have heard that before. And it holds no water. (not that I'm say you think it does) Good grief. I know you men are always told you have a greater sex drive, and you do due to hormones, but let's not warp ourselves by empathizing with a predator.
