Great video! Did the house use any polyurethane to improve its insulation? You should check out our passive house project in Brussels, Belgium. Passive really is the way to go!

@MyRepresentativeOrg Also... most passive houses do not use raw materials but they use the most modern insulation (or just lots of insulation... as seen here). Maybe you meant sustainable homes?

@MyRepresentativeOrg ... ??? ... The definition of passive has nothing to do with the materials used. Passive solar gain should NOT be achieved in any other way than by capturing the sunlight WITH THE WINDOWS. The insulation is the most (and more or less only) important thing about the passive house. It cools in the summer and warms in winter.
This is a PASSIVE house. Meaning it does not have to be heated at all other than by the body-warmth of the people and the active appliances.

No structure that wastes that much wood can be called Passive.
The extra insulation is nice, but also blocks out passive solar heat requiring the interior to be 100% fossil fuel heated.
I see no rain water capture & re-use, no Bio-swales, no PV-Sloar, no Solar Hot Water, no abundant raw material use.

Ladeveien is a fucking ghetto. Have fun pakis!
As far as I remember polymer insulation were only used in the foundation. Mineral wool is used to a much larger extent.
