I hate that Blind Melon is mostly known for "No Rain." I have a feeling some people including myself are starving for music from the soul aka Shannon Hoon and Blind Melon. Don't worry Melon Heads. We will have our day. Shannon was way ahead of his time and people just need to catch up.

It's almost as if Shannon knew his future, some of the songs off soup, an nico give you that real weird I'm not gonna be here tomorrow feeling. Idk at least it's that way for me, I love them for that dnt get me wrong I just always get that from new life, mouthful of cavities, an a few others..

2006..he was 31...she was 2...His name was Sean. The demons they dealt with...the desperate eternal need to see something better in our world..the struggle of so many of us..our self-medication and eventual self-death. I cry every single time I hear this song. Sometimes it is hard to stop. Luckily, I know that they did get a new life.....it lives in Nico and it lives in Maya. Please be there for those that need you. RIP Sean....4/20/1975 to 9/20/2006

To me, this song epitomizes everything that Blind Melon was about. The groove, the feel, the emotion, and badassery.
It's sad that we can no longer enjoy Shannon in person, but with songs like this...it's about as close to meeting Shannon as I would have ever of gotten the chance to get.
