Now I'm a public schooler but I see nothing wrong with home schooling so long as the parents are responsible, I.E. they let the kids think for themselves on topics. I know a girl who is homeschooled and while her parents were christian they taught her the basics of most religions and theories of creationism and evolution and let her think for herself.

I think credentials are hugely important. Let's be honest, the majority of Americans are poorly educated (aka stupid). Give the kids a damn chance not to be one of you. Just give them a chance.

Call it whatever you like, but instilling religious beliefs into children doesn't constitute mental abuse. Most of the people i know and am friends with are Christians, almost all of them are good people who have helped me out in a bind in the past. Hell, one of them even had a his church bring me food when i was unable to afford it. If they can get past religious differences, why can't you? Oh right, you're a hateful, mean-spirited person, the kind of person that gives atheists a bad name.

@FUCKyourGODmyth I don't know what rights and freedoms I'd have in a morally bankrupt society seeing as I don't live in one, but assuming that would be along the lines of many third world countries in Africa, I'd assume I'd have the right to do whatever the fuck I want, the world would just be a hell of alot more dangerous.
