@Dimitri0809 I don't think its manly to worry about whether you look manly enough.

This and the NFL are the most stupidest sports ever created..

OMG... i can do only one thing:
*facepalm*

@MIT1369 Amen to that

@originalsoulshatter : That's because they are based off of viking combat, where there is no chivalry. Also, Skallagrimms fights to entertain a crowd. Not that they aren't legitimate fighters.

@originalsoulshatter More like reality :D

after watching Skallagrimms videos i don't think he could fight in the SCA, there seemed to be a lack of honor and chivalry in there fights.

Very well put. All forms of combat require a constant shifting of tactics, all have their strengths and weaknesses.

The position of the sword is dependant on any number of factors. First and foremost, What type of sword is it? Second, your opponent, His stance, weapons, Armor, percieved or known abilities. Third, your training, what school of combat you've been trained in. Fourth, terrain,...... It goes on and on. The is no true ONE WAY. To believe that is to narrow your view of the world and lessen the education you can derive from it.

I resently joined the SCA heavy list. (Participating for 4 months now) I must state it is much harder than it looks. The tiniest movement is all you need to present an opening and get your skull bashed in this. I have aslo competed in "Might and Metal" (live steel combat) and must say I prefer SCA.
I understand that everyone has a preference, and wish that you two gentleman would please be more civil. You each have a preference, and should be able to respect each other's opinions.
