Now that's a nice caprice :)

nice! any salvage yards down there with old caprices for parts?
-
@TRILLGATES2K6 LOL no... Short block means its an assembled rotating assembly, that means pistons, rods, and crank.... A Long block is a short block with heads, cam, valvetrain, oil pump assembled... Big block and Small block are of casting familys, Small block is 267-400 cubic inch and Big block is 366-572 cubic inch... With those designations externally speaking all small blocks are the same along with big blocks are externally the same.

Small Block & Short Block means the same thing. Same goes for Big Block and Long Block. The difference is the Bore Stroke. Small blocks have a shorter stroke meaning the crank turns over faster than a Long Block. They rev up much faster. Long Blocks have more torque but take longer to rev up and it typically takes the piston a longer time to go from the top to the bottom of the cylinder. thats the definition of bore stroke. Small blocks have a shorter trip to take up and down.

that's WHEEL horsepower. If this is a mustang dyno, it's over 450-470HP at the crank no problem.
