How to get the 1st Generation 3.0 iPod Touch firmware for free!

THIS IS THE BETA! DON'T USE THIS ANYMORE! THE ACTUAL FIRMWARE IS OUT!

The iPod Touch 3.0 firmware doesn't come until early summer, but it's been leaked to the public! The ipsw is only for the 1st GEN!!! Sorry for the bad graphics! This is my first video of this kind, so I'm sorry if I'm annoying or whatever. Sorry if my instructions are a little confusing, post a comment if you need help, and I'll respond within 24 hours (usually).

no, i wasnt connected 2 the net. it once again gave me the error code. but now with 3.0

does your iPod still show the connect to itunes thing? i really don't know now, but the best thing I can think of is to downgrade and just wait for the official 3.0 to come out. you can always try it again though, to see if it'll work the second time around.

okay, i got it to work. but now it wont sync. and advice? but at least i have 3.0

umm are you connected to the internet? if you are then you can't sync.

after it restores perfectly fine, it shows the "connect to itunes" pi c. then when i do, and it detects it it says "cannot sync: error..." and the error was somethin like 0xE8000052 or somthin like that. i have tried like 3 different firmware files. and yes, 1st gen

ok. what you have to do is downgrade back to the 2.2.1 firmware. to do this you have to set your iPod in DFU mode (search it on youtube) and restore. You can find many videos of how to downgrade on youtube. I had to downgrade mine because I got the error that you got, so you aren't the only one.

i tried to upgrade it but then i got the 0xE800005D and then i tried to restore it back to 2.2.1 but then i got uknown error code 1604 what do I do b/c im scared?

no, its not connecting to itunes. well i downgraded and im just gonna wait. i might upgrade to a 2nd gen anyway before the 3.0. thanks 4 yo helpps
