Father Peter talks about the Karma of Suicide and what happens to our Soul. He also speaks about what people should do when they are in such despair.

  • I have traveled outside of my physical body and seen the kind of experiences people have when they were trying to "end it". Nothing ends. You are still conscious even if you lose your body. So then what do you do? Do you deal with your depression and tendencies to despair then? I know you will. There is no end to consciousness. Humans are responsible for what they think.

  • Father Peter is this for real? I think you've used every cliche in the book here.

Coward's way, Selfish, Mean, Prideful, Vengeful, Snuffed yourself

    W.T.F.

I thought the point of this video was to help suicidal people? I sincerely hope no acutely depressed people watch this video, especially young people. I'm afraid you have just demonstrated you don't know the first thing about suicide or mental illness, and need to seriously rethink your ideas.

Now I remember why I don't do religion.

  • @thinkwithyourownmind Actually suicide is murder and will create some serious karma as a result of such a decision. I was a psychotherapist for years and have worked with many who were suicidal. But there is a God who is watching and human beings will account for their behavior in the long run. Get help if you are suicidal.

  • This is a cruel joke. Pridefulness, anger, these are causes of poor suicide attempts. MENTAL ILLNESS is usually the cause of the serious ones. And hokey religious sermonizing solves NONE of these problems.

  • @TheCaptainLulz But what makes a person go to the lengths of despairing and not feeling like anything matters. Blaming it on mental illness does not explain anything and it does not excuse murdering oneself.

  • I have to disagree with much of what you say here. Suicidal people, as you rightly pointed out are on the edge of despair. What they need is love, not judgement. Not all suicide is prideful, some people genuinely believe they are all alone. One would have to be pretty low to even consider ending their life.

  • @inphanta I am not judging them. I am explaining the problem and there is a simple answer for it. Face the fear and overcome the pride and get back to taking responsibility for your life. That is hard and many don't want to do that.

  • Not sure about the selfishness part...a young person, who doesn't know there's anyone to turn to, doesn't believe they're being selfish, they just want the pain to end. My own mind almost abandoned me as a child, hence the thoughts to leave this world took hold.

  • clap trap. familiarize yourself with the medical realities of mental illness. Blaming someone for death by suicide is like blaming someone for death by cancer.

  • @Seabluejewels Its also greatly influenced by demonic attachments. That's the enemy's ultimate goal..to motivate God's people to commit murder against their own soul.

  • Hello Father Peter, I hope people can see this video especially those who are contemplating the act of suicide- or the point of no return. Life is precious. Problems do come and go. Once life has ended prematurely, there's no way of reversing it back . May God bless you.

  • You know....I completely agree with you. I was thinking the exact same thing, but giving this video to someone who is actually suicidal, will probably make them more suicidal O.O These people are too far into their self made hell to begin to admit this to themselves that this is actually what is going on with them :/ If they are to the point of suicidal, they've already created their own illness. Counseling is what’s best for them now. Liked the video :)

  • I dont agree, suicide has nothing to do with pride.. people can have severe depression and other mental afflictions, that are so bad....i have seen people close to me suffer..and i think you need to look more ,had they medical aspect of this..before making this sort of a statement....In nature.. wich we are part of to..there animals that suicide has well...we still dont have the answer for it...

  • @ruach2351

I am only surprised that you have used so many outdated (actually hurtful) stereotypes about suicide. Because it is precisely these social taboos that will prevent anyone (non-atheists especially) from seeking help, and prevent their recovery (since they already have enough guilt and poor self-image to deal with). I feel this is quite paradoxical. I can't rule out anything as I don't know what may or may not happen after death, but I can't see how you can be any more sure than me.

  • @TheCaptainLulz Mental illness is the scientific label for things like psychosis which is caused BY THE PERSON WHO IS AFFLICTED WITH IT by their thought processes and usual lack of disipline..People are labaling behaviours now and calling them "disorders" or "illnesses". just Like labelling kids with ADHD. It's not something they were born with. It's an imbalance that is simply created by how a child grows up and can be countered with state of mind. It's not a disorder

I am living proof of that

  • @menohaveaname I wish I was as patient and humble as you. I yearn for spritual growth and to feel God around me. I believe. I want to believe more. But my faith feels weak. Being a believer in a community of none.

I wish i could feel God and hear is whisper instead of just reassuring myself he's there with what faith i can produce. :[

    Nevertheless. Thank you jesus.
