@tummeler The late Lawrence Welk, who gave the Lennons their start, believed it was genetic. That's why he hired another sister act some years after the Lennons left his show.

@tummeler Consider that the original L sisters were singing and harmonizing at home years before the Welk Show. I doubt that any of their children had the time to get together with their cousins and do what their mothers did at home to the same degree. I M O, their daughters sound awesome. Any parent would be proud. I agree though about the voices sound so similiar.

OK, now I am wondering. Everly Brothers, Lennon Sisters, Andrews Sisters ... Is the ability to sing genetic? I have known people who have no interest in music, and those who can't sing a note. I was an OK musician, and I have nephews who are stellar in music. (I had nothing to do with that...) Is this something that should be investigated? All of the voices soune homogenous. Having said that, I do think that it is a mini-notch down from the glory of the four original Lennons...

@obg3leng3 Only one younger sister besides Mimi - and that would be "Annie". I don't think she sang on stage like Mimi does. Besides the four oldest younger brothers singing in Branson together (Dan. Pat, Bill and Joe), another younger brother (Chris, aka Kippie or Kip) had a group/band known as "Venice" and they were, and still may be, popular in SoCal.

@taximan55 As far as I know,only Kathy,Janet and Mimi travel now on a very limited basis! Their Daughters only perform in Branson !

Do these Daughter's Travel as a group? I still have yet to see the Lennon Sister's perform !!!! I wish I could but they don't come anywere near Portland Or
