CSHG Ep. 10: Knuckles Was Framed (x4)

I've got a long list of Sonic glitches for the Sega Genesis, and I'm showcasing them in this new series: Crouching Sonic, Hidden Glitch. Starting with Season 2, all glitches are performed using real Sega Genesis Model 1 and Sega CD Model 2 hardware. (However, the new intro showcases glitches from Season 1, so they are recorded off of Sonic Mega Collection and Sonic Gems Collection. Now you get to see what I REALLY did in Episode 8...)

Episode 10: Knuckles Was Framed

Here are 3 glitches that reveal Knuckles's true identity as Mecha Knuckles from Sonic Advance, and one completely different glitch derived from the third of the former glitches. Sonic Advance is copyright 2001 Sega, Sonic Team, Nintendo and THQ.

O.K.

In Sonic CD, go to Palmtree Panic Act 3 Bad Future and go to the to of the level at the beginning. Go a little to the right until you see a curved up hill with a badnik on it. Peelout up the hill and land on the badnik, (while going up, get some rings it makes the glitch more noticeable.) and Sonic will shoot up and disappear as if he fell off screen. It's both a glitch and a what the f*** moment.

Well, it's just an extension of the "Dark Super Sonic" glitch, but done in such a way that it looks like the Flickies from the Sonic 1 prototypes.

I am trying to do that myself, but what is "very un-noticeable" glitch you speak of?

That's true. I have done that glitch before, but it's also very well-known and is an actual fragment of a prototype. What I meant by Prototypical Occurrences was anything that RESEMBLED a specific prototype. And I have found two of them so far, although one isn't very noticeable at all. Therefore, I am searching through Sonic CD for another one. Now if, for example, there was a way to get Ice Cap's snow board to act like that surf board, then it would work.

go to Sonic 3 (standalone) with the debug genie active and start angel island act 1, do like in episode 1 except stay on the scrambled sonic. spawn it and go out of debug, sonic is now jumbled and were you spawned the object will be the sonic surf boarding cutscene from the sonic 3 beta.

This is a glitch because it's not supposed to be in the finished copy.
