This is the first mix i've done on my new Denon dn-s5000 and dn-s3000, with my new stanton smx401 mixer.
I've played around with the decks a bit but this is the first proper mix i've done.

Your Demise - Unknown Dub
Caspa - Where's My Money (L-Vis 1990 Dubble Step Edit)
Nero - This Way
Sidney Samson - Riverside (Breakage Remix)

any constructive criticism will be appreciated.
cheers.

  • ez mate, nice mix!! ive got the same decks as u, just wondering how have you got the platter to not rotate?

    Peace

  • well on the dn-s3000 hold down the "scratch mode" button which is flashing orange, and the lights should go out then the platter will stop and you can use it for pitch adjustments and searching.

and, on the dn-s5000 there is a little dial thing above and to the left of the platter with a few otions on it... select the 'search' option, and again the platter will stop and you'll be able to use it for pitch adjustments and searching.

  • loving the l-vis rmx....btw,does the 3000 has "soft" keys?regarding play and cue..cos i am planning to get one and don't want make the same mistake as i didd for gemini one...soft play key = crappy response..

    cheers..

  • thanks, and yeah, the keys are slightly soft, however i've still found the response to be pretty much perfect!

  • Just Play/pause mix... nothing specials

  • got the dns3000's and nearly the same mixer as me. I got the smx501 though..

  • If you rip this song so its HQ, i would download it. It sounds really good, and I love long dubstep songs. Keeps me from changing them all the time. Really good job on it though. I would love to be able to make dubstep.

  • Hey i've got a pair of s5000's myself i thought your mix was very good especially how you got TC in there! Keep it up !
