@qpking77 i have drivers installled and the cable is ok its odin. Odin keeps getting stuck and the last message is Get PIT for mapping.. idk what to do

@brerackl21 if you're using a samsung cable, its most likely that. Otherwise try redownloading everything and starting over

Ok, I have Odin v 4.05. When I try to put the .tar.md5 file in PDA it says "Invalid Image Type" so I can't seem to do anything. What do I do? I'm running straight-up stock everything (EL30, 2.6.6) on the phone, but can't get Odin to work. Nearly all internet info is woefully outdated, impossible to sift through, and can't do anything for me. Anything new assumes I'm already rooted. This is the closest thing could find that I can ALMOST use. Thanks in advance.

Im currently running ei 22. I have installed the drivers. When using kernel-GB-3a.tar.md5 file in odin it seems to brick my phone. I then go through unbrick video and flash eco5 back on also using odin.  Any suggestions to be able to load the tar in order to root ?

i have noticed when i download it changes the file name to kernel-GB-3a.tar.tar

Hopefully this helps somebody out there. I did EXACTLY as he said in the video, and it failed. But fear not! I restarted the phone and did it again and all was good. 2nd time's the charm. Thanks for the video!
