Every thing I see of the interview videos and performance videos, you just can tell he is a gentle & humble man
with a great sense of the tongue in cheek. Above all he is one gifted musician.
But it's often the most talented people that are the least egotistical. I cite Tony Levin, Rick Wakeman, and Christian guitar virtuoso, Phil Keaggy, as examples.

I was talking about the videos from 1980/81. Audio synced with video.
I literally ran into Ian Anderson when I was pregnant with my daughter in San Antoni.I ran into a hotel to use the facilites and I ran right smack into him.Nicest man one could meet.He asked if I was ok and was concerned about my condition.
