  • Sorry, I'm Canadian, not a fighter. BYE BYE

  • Canadian? I have family in Vancouver & Toronto. That explains much, starting with the attitude.

As far as my "neck of the woods", this groomer and I are both in one of the western suburbs of Detroit, which explains my attitude! ;)

  • Using capitol lettering doesn't always mean anger. I was stressing a point, just as you were. I'm not sure what neck of the woods you're from but your suggestion of a cold beverage was pretty lame. You had to have known that posting this video might just spark a bit of controversy, you should have been better prepared. You seem to be taking my comments as a personal attack. NOT my intention (the NOT is not in anger). Hey we're all entitled to our opinions. RELAX.

  • You relax. Find yourself a cold six pack and calm down. Lame? I was trying to be polite. I see that effort was wasted.

  • Oh by the way, I absolutely agree, that the groomer was to blame for the dogs death. BUT I have to say also, if that dog had not been left for so long, things would have turned out differently. Dog owners have to share in the responsiblity. Any dog owner willing to leave their dog for 8 hours is being irresponsible. MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS THAT SUIT YOUR DOGS NEEDS MORE THAN YOU!

  • And my dog's groomer is about a mile away from this nitwit, so we're talking about the same community. While I don't like to leave my little buddy there that long, some people don't have a choice. Someone has to work to earn money to feed the dog.

  • continued-and they ran some tests-come to find out the dog had liver cancer so bad it's liver looked like swiss cheese. I'm wondering if the owner of this dog had any test run? Well in my situation they decided to put the dog down and the owners were very understand. I know dogs get stressed when they have to go to the groomer so if there is an underlying condition the stress could bring it out. Hopefully all precautions were taking a the groomers-too bad : (

  • I own a grooming shop and had a similiar situation happen-same breed even, but it hadn't been at the shop very long-I took the St.Bernard off the table, after being brushed before the bath, and it just layed on the ground all lethargic-At first I thought it was tired, but then it wouldn't get up-I tried giving it water and it wouldn't drink it-then I called the owner and said I was concerned cause the dog was acting strange. We loaded the dog in the car and took it to the vet-it's temp was 105

  • @lfagius Dog grooming salons are not meant to keep dogs for 8 hours. They have other dogs to groom. If you want to leave a dog somewhere for 8 hours, you take them to doggy daycare!

  • The owner said when she picked the dog up, "she was clearly dehydrated". Well, my question is, why didn't she seek treatment immediately? She stated that she waited until the next day to take the dog to the vet. The owner, sadly, is at very least half way to blame. A grooming shop is not a daycare. They can not take care of people's dogs for 8 hours non-stop. They have other dogs to groom. If you want one on one attention, you hire a mobile groomer to groom your dog.

  • I work for a groomer. dogs should not be left by their owners for more than four hours. I don't care if they are left alone that long at home..it is a completely different environment at a grooming salon. Dogs over the age of 10 should be monitored very closely not only by the groomer but also by the owner who knows him best. At the salon im at..all dogs are given water constantly but still it is very stressful for some dogs. Know your dog and your groomer!

  • This should never have happened, unfortunately, I have witnessed many accidents that could have been prevented if the groomer was on top of things. Some groomers should be working elsewhere, and not in the company of animals. Sad but true.

  • Omg, how sad... losing a pet is like losing a family member...

  • At the salon I work at dog may only be caged dried for 10 minutes with a heat drier on and a timer is used. If a dog is not acting alert we call the guardian to come pick up the dog even if it isn't finished. It's only about being observant.

The groomer didn't seem that sorry about it for the cameras either. I'd be balling my eyes out and not able to work for a very long time.

  • Every1 needs 2 SHUT UP!!! SOME PPL HAVE 2 WORK 4 8 HOURS!!! I leave MY dog at the groomer from the time me going 2 school and picking him up AFTER school. THATS 7 HOURS. MY DAD HAS 2 WORK. What?! U PPL DONT WORK OR GO 2 SCHOOL?

  • Poor dog, again a very stupid groomer. I have experienced an accident with the drier and I got burnt so bad that I went into shock and was off work for 3 weeks, the driers are very powerful machines and should be used by irrisponsible idiots like the one I used to work with. Thank god I've quit that job.
