Flashing the N900

Nokia announced the public release of the N900 production firmware today. This is a video of me flashing my pre-production unit from my laptop running Ubuntu Karmic. The whole update took just around 3 minutes.

Do you hold down the 'U' key when you plug in USB?

NSU bricked my N900, so I'm waiting for a desktop battery charger to come from eBay to fully charge the battery and then flash..

Friggin NSU. No I didn't press 'U'. However, it is recommended to do it.

i updated my software,after instalation.my conversations are nt getting saved and call log also remain empty after calls.

Man, thanks for the usefull video, can you tell me please if it is possible to charge the N900 after bricking it? When i connect it to the USB all i get is the static orange light and the phone keeps vibrating and restarting... Thanks in advance man

i am bloked on the nokia logo without the light and without the usb logo
