  • thanks and you are right

  • Um, in order for you to have ridden a monorail at JFK airport, they would have had to install one. You, my friend, were riding an Airtrain, and that has 2 rails. (3 if you count the electric rail.) It works just like a subway train. In fact it can ride on subway tracks

  • @americonium That's right - you see, mono means 1, and rail means rail (Simpsons reference there ;)

  • Did you have to transfer to another Airtrain to go towards the Howard Beach Station?

  • @americonium No it cannot ride on the Subway tracks. It uses a linear induction motor.

  • I don't know how much they cost, the only time I went to an airplane is when I move here in the US from the Philippines

  • Hell yeah, I'm from france and I went to NY. But I had to go back home =(

  • i live in australia. if i was in ny id never leave

  • Their first observation of America was the monorail ride. A smooth curve, rental car trucks , then into the death star trenehc3es and tunnels. Back up, over the bridges erected over concrete arteries, fluxed with foreign models of kinetic boxes.

  • i want to try that, do you get it at jamacca staion. or howard beach.if i am at grand central and going to asia.what terminal and train connection.

  • I've gone to NY 3 times and the last time I went was i think in 04 I remember getting on this. It cost $7 to get on.

    *sigh* I miss NY
