With good timing, you can grab the intelligence just before going into bonk mode.
Not sure if Valve intended for this Scout ability, but it does make you wonder why the Scout drifts a few feet when using it.. Either way, I seriously hope it stays in the game because it's funkin great. If the enemy team isn't defending against this, then a swift Scout deserves the fun. ; )
This was originally discovered by [Zd] Karuma, and we developed a few strategies for implementing it in-game. For quick usage, Bind your middle mouse key to "dropitem", wait 3 seconds, then run n' bonk into it and bounce out.
You can also do some amazing Scout tag-team intel hand-offs as well. Look for that video coming soon.

FAN and Sandman never had to be buffed.
Bonk energy drink did.

Bonk is useful for many things, actually. Sentry take down, sentry protection, self-protection, teammate protection, distraction, uber blocking, sentry bypassing (as seen here) and a variety of other tricky tactics.

Very cool glitch - I hope Valve overlooks it, but now it's out in the open. :( Ah, well. Better this than not having seen it at all.

I personally hope it stays in the game. ;) Adds a lot of fun to the Scout flag running. To be honest, the Scout usually ended up non-effective on 2fort when the enemy team had to good of defense. Glad the Bonk adds some help to the class usefulness.
