In the digital world, theres disconnect between the price of production and the final price of the product. What does this mean for business? Wired editor-in-chief, Chris Anderson, explains.
I'm not saying that it doesn't use rescources. I'm saying the pricing is set on Opinion, and that Greed and Capitalism will, and have already got its grasp on it. I think all intellectual information should be free, or your right - it always will simply get abused.
@LPhase9 Everything takes resources. Hell even time is a resource. I dunno what planet you came from but you might want to do some research into these three concepts to better understand the situation. Opinion, Capitalism & Greed. Good luck with those, and again, I'm sorry you feel that way.
Free, does not work in a capitalist market. It's quite obvious by watching this video how complacent we have become with regards to access to resources. In the real world the cost is actually measured in time and resources, NOT currency. We are led to believe that it somehow has a magical property which allows you to buy things. This simply is not true. If I walk up to an apple tree that is ready to be picked, handing it a dollar for an apple, nothing will happen.

Too bad the mass production costs of all products are not equal to the cost of producing multitudes of copied electronic files
Otherwise, the computer software "open source" people have already demonstrated "how free would work"
