My name is John, I once had a fight with my girl Mary Jo. We didn't speak for months and it got to the point where I thought it was all over for sure. One mid afternoon I ask the Lord to give me a sign if she still loves me for I had enough of the pain and confusion. After shedding a tear or two, I turned on the radio and it was playing "missing you". I thought for a second, Is this the sign? Just as I came to my senses heard the DJ say "...John Waite". I got you message my Lord, loud and clear.

Great song... Especially remember driving home in 1994 from a weekend ski trip at Snowshoe Resort with our family and a dear friends son. Slightly changed the lyrics to "I ain't dissing you" and all of us enjoyed a few miles of singing along in full lyrical focus....
