In the Civil War, Camp Chase was a Union training camp on the outskirts of Columbus, Ohio. It also housed political and military prisoners. The inspiration was supposedly the bugle calls in the camp. If you listen to a good fiddle player you can almost hear them.
The second tune is Jenny Get Around, which originally came from the fiddle playing of Kentucky fiddler John Salyer. Like somebody said, it "eats its tail'
Great sound and such nice crisp playing!!
It's a pleasure to see and hear.
