  • Listen to how ignorant some of these guys are, here Michael worked with them in 1980 nad he still used them in Thriller, Beat It, Captain EO, and Ghost yet SOME of them act as if Michael stole from them, seriously why work with him all those years. Also Michael was a noted dancer and he was popping before he met them, yet he still worked with them to learn more about it, paid them and got them jobs on his videos and stuff. I think MJ did enough, MJ did the robot in 74-before he met them.

check out the first comment with a rating. The EB didn't originate anything anyway. Their whole style was copied anyway. HAHAHAHAHA.......some of these guys are legit, others are just angry and sad. Again MJ was a noted dancer years before working with them. These guys are good and I like watching their clips but this stuff on MJ bums me out.

  • @1980Triumph The EBs made up popping triumpth.

"MJ was a noted dancer years before working with them. "

true, but not in the realm of Popping.. MJ was taught by the Lockers, and got moves from James Brown

  • Michael may have not given these guys credit, but Michael made the dance moves 10 times better, he perfected them and made them his own.

  • MJ started dancing at age 5. There is video proof of that. He danced till his last breath... There is video proof of that also. In a nutshell, he worked harder than any other dancer on earth.

  • Everything we ever do is a copy. We were poppin n lockin in the 60s and 70's before these children were born. Do you see us complaining about kids like these doin our moves? Hell nah! All flavours of dance should be shared with the whole world. We would get together on the street with everybody and we would share our skills with each other. We weren't stealing each others moves. Check out Michaels vids from the 70's and he's poppin lockin doin the robot. These dudes need to get over themselves.

  • No doubt mike was a quick study, a dynamic performer, and phenomenal dancer. But to be so egotistical not to pay homage to folks who helped you so that they can get a "eg up" is just wrong.

  • For all the folks who think the boogaloos are lying, check out MJs earlier dance moves. No doubt Mike could dance, but there is a pronounced shift in his style of movement at one point in the 80s, and I believe it's due to their training. Mikes signature move prior to that was his spinning and a few "James Briwn"moves and yes, I HEARD the infamous "children of ghetto remark he made and was shocked. Mike even gave props to Fred Astaire for influencing his dancing but left the Boogaloos hanging.

  • @1980Triumph

Michael is the result of numerous influences as is the case with all human beings :)

  • oh and another thing if michael ows you money for moves then you guys also owe spider man and thor a whole lot more money but you dont see them complaining they out saving the world ;) you should dance and do music coz you love to do it not only if people promise to mention your name. michael liked learning from others and then trying to perfect it. he learned used those ideas along with his own made the best music to go with it, dressed a million bucks on stage and sold millions, dont hate

  • but look you cant own a dance move ok, and did you ever think that maybe the reason he said kids from the ghetto is because he didnt just like your style of dancing but also the other kids that were around so if he were to give you credit he needs to name every other kid in the ghetto by name. though you guys are some of the best dancers and i respect you, obviously michael took that style of dance to a whole new level. to michael music wasnt just about dancing it was more than that.

  • im seeing a bunch of angry people when i watch this clip. and its sad because what did you expect michael to do turn around and give you his mansion and his bentley because you all had similar dance moves. i mean michael always says he always loved watching james brown, fred astaire, jackie wilson and so on but if you notice depending on what interview you are watching he may add another perfromers name or he may sometimes forget to say another artists name, he says what ever comes to his head

  • could steal your idea for a song, have it go platinum 5 times over and give you a job teachin my kids how to play the piano. The different styles DID originate with some of these guys. NOT ALL, but a lot. Crazy Legs came from poppin pete, who got that from watchin crazy legs move while he was breakin. Pete gave credit where it was due, all they're saying is that if you teach someone a good deal of a craft, and that person doesn't properly acknowledge you..THAT'S DISRESPECTFUL. PERIOD.
