Lou Dobbs Gives First TV Interview Since Leaving CNN

Nearly a week after leaving CNN, Lou Dobbs sits down with Bill O'Reilly to discuss the reasons behind his departure. He said he "tried to accommodate" the network by trying to move with CNN in a different direction with his opinion. "Advocacy journalism would not be a part" of CNN's new direction, Dobbs said.

Dobbs also admits he is "partly to blame" for CNN's ratings being "lower than they should be... because I was in that lineup." Nonetheless, "I'm going to remain in the public arena."

Aside from also being asked by Bill O'Reilly about President Obama: "Is he the devil?", former CNN anchor also touches on the "birther" controversy, a possible run for New Jersey Senator, and the recent shooting at his New Jersey home, which followed "months and months" of threats. "The threats stopped that very day the shots were fired."

Nice - O' Reilly sounds as though he's trying to find some reason - any reason - as to why Lou Dobbs was asked to leave, without even mentioning the on-air Jesuit confrontation that took place just before Dobbs was dismissed. Dobbs sounds naive like he didn't even realize that he offended a Jesuit and got the boot for it. To think a journalist for this many decades is this naive - staggering. Then again, his wife was almost shot. O' Reilly tries to play down the shooting. To be expected.

I haven't watched this video yet, but I can tell you that Bill O' Reilly won't be fair to Lou Dobbs. Why? Because O' Reilly is owned by the Jesuits. Lou Dobbs stood up to a Jesuit on his show shortly before his dismissal and shortly before his wife was almost shot by a drive-by shooter. Now to see if I'm correct.
