I know this isn't the Anthony from the movie film, but its from the broadway version, sung by Victor Garber. I like this version cuz it shows more passion and gives a more powerful statement to Johanna with a deeper baritone/bass voice unlike the tenor that you hear today. enjoy!

  • it's amazing, a short song with fairly simple lyrics with the right music and way of singing it can make it so powerful :O

  • I'll peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaalll youuuuuuuuuuuu Banaaaaaaaaaana!

  • The ominous quality comes from the 1/2 step (I think) movements up/down - plus the increasing volume of the orchestra is menacing. The menace in Sweeney Todd is in the music when it isn't in the scenes. ...people say "Stalker", and they say it because the music puts the menace in his love song. What should be reassuring - steadfast determination to free her - sounds like it could turn on a dime to a brand new prison...its' in the melody and harmony.

  • MY NAME IS JOHANNA! >.<

I felt so stalked after I heard this song. ._.

  • Victor Garber doesn't get it as much beautiful and wrong at the same time, I think he's voice is just too strong. I like the more innocent tenor version, where you really get the feeling of something wonderful, yet so wrong by an innocent person.

  • Anthony's balls have dropped!!

  • @howlinbladedrummer LOL You have a dirty mind! He says "I feel you," not "I'll feel you." Later he says, "I'll stead you."

And only almost sad? It's tragic. She's locked up and molested by an old judge...

  • Absolutely the best!

  • best rendition!!!!!!

  • I love the 'I'll feel you Johanna,' at 1:15. It sounds so full of emotion - it's almost sad but beautiful! <3

  • I love the way this song sounds much better with a baritone singer. Though the man who portrayed him in the movie was great, tenors are slowly beginning to annoy me. There are just SOOO many tenor roles and songs. It's overbearing. Lol.
