Poet and author Jeanne Bryner sings her lyrics for AFTER SUNSET, WHAT THE WOMAN SINGS TO HER BABIES, published in MOTIF: WRITING BY EAR, an anthology of essays, stories and poems related to music (published by Motes Books, Lousiville, Kentucky, 2009). Bryner was born in Appalachia and frequently writes about displacement. She works as a registered nurse and a creative writing teacher. Her book NO MATTER HOW MANY WINDOWS is forthcoming from Wind Publications. This reading occurred at Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio, on 28 March 2009 at the Appalachian Studies Association.
