Kagamine Rin Cosplay by Bunnychan

I will be deleting any unnecessary and, frankly, stupid comments on this video. Just because I won't give you my patterns or write up a detailed step-by-step how-to on every single thing I do does not give anyone any reason to be a jerk. If you think this is store-bought, then good luck finding that store (because it doesn't exist). I put up these kinds of videos for fun and for people to enjoy them, NOT for people to show how ignorant and stupid they can be in the comments.


I will NOT give/sell any of my costume patterns! DO NOT ASK. I also do not take costume commissions. Also, please do not ask me to give you step-by-step on how to make any part of this costume; I think half the fun of cosplay is figuring out how to do things. And before you ask a question, please read all previous comments, as there's a chance your question has already been answered.


Still photos of my finished Kagamine Rin from Vocaloid2 cosplay (minus the tattoo and nail polish) plus some short video clips showing off the LED lights in the headset and arm warmers, plus the speaker in my left legwarmer.

The ribbon is huge because that's the way I wanted it. I'm cosplaying a cartoon character people, it's fun to be silly and over the top.

Will be debuting this at Animazement 2010.

The costume was made my mother in law and myself.

wow... this costume is really legit. how'd you make the lights? oh ya, hate to say this.... the bow is a little oversized if you didn't notice... ^_^;

A cartoon is English animation. It's not an animation so it's not a cartoon. It could be called an Anime Character I suppose but it's really just a robot singing doll. Or something like that.

@KATkittyattackteam: The technically and original term for cartoon referred to a preparatory drawing for a piece of art (think of a sketch for a painting). The term's modern usage varies, from comic strips to CGI animation. Basically anything that is a 2D drawing can be referred to as a cartoon (though it is usually not applied to pieces in a more realistic style). I say cartoon in the description mainly because I'm going for a more exaggerated look w/ my costume.

First of all it's not a cartoon character, Rin is a Vocaloid. She is a voice banking system created to sing songs in Japanese; she has several appends. No English voice bank if I'm correct. Also the shirt is suppose to show some skin on your lower belly, and as for the lighting that makes me wonder if you bought it. Although it looked neat I would have used glow in the dark paint, it's alil messy but I don't personally have that much time or money to spend on a costume. Chances are if you enter

@KATkittyattackteam: AS for glow in the dark paint, that is entirely possible and I encourage people to experiment. While I am willing to blow some money on cosplay (thus the LEDs) that does not mean that good cosplay cannot be done on a budget, it just comes down to creative and effective you can be. If you do a Rin outfit, then please share it!
