  • @Ma1nguy "straining?" Really??? That's known as styling, brother. Huge difference.

  • Aretha still sounded good. Even in the upper range.

  • praise the lord.thank you jesus.

  • This was in 1996

  • I would've played that song for her in A flat and then she would've had more room to go up in ranges without straining.

  • She is aging but that isn't all bad.. gives the voice character.

  • @devontae69 - Of course she can still sing. I never said on here that she can't.

  • @baphithi - My mother said a while ago that she knows how to drag a song, not me. But in this performance, I think my mom proved herself right, though.

  • @neetrab I call it worshipping, and I call it ministering rather than dragging a song.

  • that's a TIGHT hat.

  • started off fine until she had to move to the upper register. her upper register should never be used again. its frayed

  • she is like an ole school crystal rucker

  • @neetrab she has aged but to me she still can sang

  • @HerbertReid i agree i don`t believe in funnerals or the wearing of black I`m an organist and most of the times funerrals are nothing but a show

  • Thank you Jesus!

  • I wish she took care of her voice.

  • @Milton754 - LOL! You're a mess...lol!! I probably would have said the same thing... I know my mom would have. My mom thinks she can surely drag a song..

  • @Milton754 ~ I don't think she sounded bad at all. Plus in Michigan we don't wear black at "saints" funerals....it's not suppose to be a sad occassion.

  • @sylviacalhoun you also come into the world naked but you put clothes on...Cover thine head.

  • Awesome!

  • Clara Ward better sang

  • why do you have to wear black to a funeral, i myself do'nt believe in funerals, but why does it have to be black, ?

  • Aretha Franklin is a wealthy woman. She should of wore black. I think that she sounds awful with all that sreaming. If I was in the audience, I would of been glad when she sat down. Saying thank you Jesus.
