Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your point of view) PCB is probably the easiest Touhou game, and (going by what Shmup pros tell me) the Touhou series in general is only in the Easy-Mid/hard zone of the genre, check out some videos of Mushihimesama FUTARI, you'll shit brix

I think the Touhou series in general is probably meant to be more challenging in score attacking than just trying to beat them.
Case in point: In terms of just beating the games (without continuing), I find PCB to be considerably harder than Imperishable Night. But as far as score attacking goes, I have a much tougher time racking up a decent score (relative to the score attack replays I've seen) on Imperishable Night than PCB.
