TNGA Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey picks, wipes nose and then hand flicks toward supporter

TNGA Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey's Slight of Hand: video capture of a June 1, 2010 television news report pertaining to Lt. Governor Ramsey "giving Washington the boot" by denying the allocation of over $16 million in federal Recovery stimulus funds for building the proposed TWRA Elizabethton cold-water trout hatchery in the home district of TNGA House Speaker Kent Williams.

Williams lost his "bona fides" as a Republican candidate from the Tennessee Republican Party when he cast his own vote for himself in January 2009 during an election with the Tennessee House of Representatives to determine the new House Speaker.

Williams secured the TNGA House Speaker position for himself with the assistance and vote of every House Democrat voting to elect WIlliams over the Republican heir-apparent, Rep. Jason Mumpower (Mumpower and Ramsey both reside in Sullivan County, Tennessee).

Ramsey's 2010 newly found opposition to the TWRA Elizabethton cold-water trout hatchery coincides with the entry of former state Rep. Jerome Cochran as a 2010 Republican Primary candidate in Carter County. Cochran has already been twice defeated for the Carter County state House seat by Williams during previous Republican primary elections. As Chairman of the State Building Commission, Ramsey in 2009 approved the expenditure of $800,000 in Tennessee state tax dollars for the pre-planning expenditures associated with the proposed TWRA Elizabethton cold-water trout hatchery.
