One of the more annoying trophies to get for some reason. =(
This is the same playthrough that got me the trophy, not a re-enactment.... so I am 100% certain this method works.

I didn't do anything besides the required shower & change before it.....
I let Ethan stand in the middle of the room after work until the kids arrived (didn't touch anything).
After playing with the kids I went straight to Shaun.

The trophy will not appear until the next loading screen so you may have to play all the way through past Father & Son.

Out of curisoity, how many times did it take you to finally get the "Happy Birthday" trophy? I did the work, put the plates down, and played with the kids. A part from Perfect Crime, this is the only one I need to get the Platinum...I know I do it right, but it will not appear...Help?

Quite a few. Are you playing through the next chapter? The trophy didn't appear for me until I got to the next loading screen.

@FrankNStein I did it...Ooooo...Three times already? I guess I need to keep doing it til I get it...I am working on the Perfect Crime trophy, so I am not in too big of a hurry (Laughs)

I don't remember the exact number attempts... but it was quite a few. Just make sure you play through the next chapter (until the chapter with the good father trophy) and it'll pop up on one of your attempts.

am i supposed to get to the part where the bird dies or do i get the trophy immideatly after what the sword fight?

The trophies pop up on the loading screens (when it's zoomed in on somebody's face) so you'll want to play through to the next stage.

I only took a shower, worked, put the plates on the table and played with the kids. I played the game until the part where Shelby showed up. AND STILL NO FREAKING TROPHY!! What's the matter? Is that a glitch or something?

What if you get something wrong while playing with the kids, does it affect getting the trophy?
