Thank you so much for posting this. My girlfriend and I spent an hour trying other videos and it was not working at all. In the second half, they shot the portal on the ceiling as close to the ledge as possible.. It's impossible. We tried your way and we got it on the first try.

@LastSasquatch I can't picture what you describe. How do you not have to time it? You have to come out the second portal before you have line of sight with the wall that the light bridge touches. Sorry, it's hard to picture just reading about it :p

@Riflemanm16a2 Yep that's what i did as well, except you don't need to catch you and your partner, you just need to walk out and walk straight back and land on the light bridge that's already there, then you can casually shoot the portal you need to make the bridge across to the other side without having to time it to catch the both of you.

@Riflemanm16a2 ... I had exactly the same experience.

i.e. I thought of solving it this way, but didn't try stepping out on the edge of the bridge source in order to shoot up above, and I ended up solving it the way you describe (shooting up top first, along with a portal in the starting wall, then jumping out and shooting below to catch the two of us).

I'm just glad I figured it out without looking anything up. It's interesting to see it can be solved in multiple ways, though.

I thought of doing it this way, but I couldn't figure out how to shoot the portal up there from the bottom. So I just shot it up there from the beginning, had my partner jump out with me as I shot a portal by the light bridge to catch us... if that makes sense.
