This is perhaps the most poignant scene of the Fraggle Rock series; and, in it, we see the kind of character development and addressing of profound issues that make Fraggle Rock one of the most well-crafted television shows of all time.

  • Exactly. A lot of people nowadays are afraid of mentioning death or any other deep themes in a kid's show. Doing something like this took courage on the writer's part, and I'm glad to have seen it.

  • This scene is one of the cutest ever!

Shows now-a-days for kids are so stupid, if only they were more like fraggle rock..

  • Whoa...

    I had no idea...

Damn, they don't make shows like this anymore. Everything's been desensitized and commercialized.

Only Jim Henson could have pulled this off. Hell, he could pull anything off. We need someone like him in the world today.

And I really need to buy this series....

  • @Pspimp: Puppets and cartoons can die. Besides the dip seen in Roger Rabbit, Tiny Toons said it best, "It is laughter that keeps a Toon young. When the laughter stops, a Toon grows old and forgotten." Once forgotten, they wither away and die.

  • Only Jim Henson could create a television program for children that deals with the subject of death so delicately. Love, love, love.

  • @discodaggett Hey I heared about that too. I geuss Red's and Boober's silly creature (human partners) Do have some thing in comang.

  • @batcountryrabid Yeah like years ago when I was maybe 7 years old My friend Mrs, Wash who was and old lady. Her friend died and I ask whare was he and Mrs, Wash told he was an angle but I didn't know about death untill my pet paretkee died I cried when died,

  • One of the most powerful episodes I think. The things they say to each other--it's the kind of beauty that warm up tears behind your eyes.

  • everyone thinks about death, especially when they are young and they don't understand it. Pets die, relatives die, and kids wonder where they go, and what its like.

Still this is pretty horrifying, even for me, and 23 year old woman to watch lol heavy stuff

  • ...o_O

  • But puppets can't die!

I suppose the puppeteer's hand can go limp at times, but that's not dying!
